Openings & Closings

Anyone with a forward head and/or kyphotic posture, waking up the posterior sling is important.  The posterior sling is important especially in walking.   The phrasing of the posterior sling has a different quality from a prone swan to standing up.

The coordination is essential between the gluts and the lats.  Sometimes one is moving faster in the upper body.   The extension at the hips needs to be waken up and learn how to phrase at the same time as the upper body.

In the squat and coming to standing is smooth transition between the upper and lower body.  Some clients are moving faster at one part of the body.  Some clients need to be aware of both slings: anterior and posterior.   From a squat,  the extension of the knee, hip and spine should be a symphony of coordination.
