Having a Leg to Stand on is about improving leg function especially in standing.  Floor exercises are wonderful building blocks to create better strength.  Open chain exercises such as side kicks can teach you about certain connections.  Closed chain such as standing has a different feeling and coordination.  One can do a hundred side leg lifts but one does not necessary know how to use it in standing.  Improving leg function in standing can improve the legs and as well as the back.

I have a client with ongoing back problems. Her legs are weak and her back catches a lot of the work in her walk.  For me with knee issues, keeping my legs strong in standing has helped me immensely.

This week in mat, reformer and parasetter class we will explore building the foundations from the floor, quadruped and standing.
