With both knees having ACL tears, keeping the physicality of my legs is essential.  I find that I need to slowly wake up the coordination of my legs and spine.  Closed chain movements are important.  How you organize your legs in standing is very different than open chain work such as legs in straps.  The warmup of legs in straps wakes up my nervous system.  The challenge is applying those concepts to standing.  Maintaining this physicality is an everyday practice for me.  When I lapse, walking up stairs can be uncomfortable.
